Job Description

Poste :

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables  :

  • Oversee the day-to-day license management and utilization, recycling, re-assignment and inventory of all software or hardware assets in the organization or for customers.  
  • Ensure that all assets within the contracts are maintained with the correct processes for new/renewed/changed or ended Configurations Items.               
  • Plan, monitor, and record software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and license maintenance requirements.             
  • Enact and maintain a proactive Software Asset Management (SAM) program or hardware devices. Continually work towards replacing and enhancing reactive processes where relevant. 
  • Generate, distribute, and review relevant management reports and issue recommendations.              
  • Define purchasing recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.                 
  • Provide direction to the creation and maintenance of an effective Vendor Management program.               
  • Develop, implement and promote policies, processes and procedures for software acquisitions, installations, usage and disposition to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.                      
  • Conduct and report software asset reconciliation and audit activities on a timely basis, including financial, licensing, warranty, and maintenance/support contract information.               
  • Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and software asset inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or asset optimization.

KnowledgeSkills and Experience        

  • Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies.               
  • Fluent in English and French (speaking and writing).                

 

EducationQualifications            

  • Bachelor’s degree in the Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and comply with company policies and procedures.    
  • Budgeting, inventory, and cost-management skills                    
  • Excellent influence, negotiation and persuasion skills with a strong customer/partnering mentality.                     
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.             

Skill & Experience

  • An experience of 1 - 5 years is required
