Kalmar is looking for a Finance Specialist to manage our end-to-end financial operations and ensure total data integrity. In this role, you will oversee everything from Accounts Payable and General Ledger bookings to bank reconciliations and financial master data. You will play a key part in our closing activities, collaborating with partners like Deloitte on tax compliance (VAT/Business Tax) while managing essential administrative projects and report compiling. This is a vital position for a detail-oriented professional who excels at balancing high-priority financial analysis with disciplined process management.
What are your key responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Invoice Management: Meticulously process and manage the Accounts Payable (AP) workflow, including scanning and sending invoices to Basware for posting to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Core Accounting & GL Support: Support General Ledger (GL) accounting by managing daily booking instructions and preparing dossiers for intercompany (IC) payments to maintain balanced financial records.
- Month-End Closing & Reconciliations: Actively participate in month-end closing activities, including the precise reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure the integrity of the company’s cash position.
- Compliance & Tax Collaboration: Collaborate with external partners like Deloitte on monthly tax declarations (VAT, business tax, CIT returns) and execute high-priority operational projects such as VAT analysis.
- Data Integrity & Master Data: Maintain accurate financial master data and ensure all documentation is filed and tracked according to internal rules, policies, and professional standards.
- Administrative & Management Support: Handle multiple levels of administrative duties, including following up on travel expenses with shared services and supporting management projects through data collection and report compiling.

What you bring to the role:
Educational Foundation: You hold a University Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, providing a solid theoretical base for complex financial operations.
- Professional Experience: You bring 1–3 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting, with a proven track record of preparing detailed financial reports and managing data.
- Technical Proficiency: You are a proficient user of Google G Suite and have experience navigating multiple IT systems. Previous exposure to SAP and a strong familiarity with core financial principles are highly preferred.
- Analytical & Numerical Expertise: You possess a strong analytical mindset with the numerical skills required to create and interpret sales statistics, VAT analyses, and various management reports.
- Communication & Collaboration: You demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, and the ability to influence stakeholders. You are a collaborative team player who can effectively coordinate with shared services and external partners like Deloitte.
