In 2008, NKG started a 60:40 joint venture with Jayanti Group and changed the company name to “NKG Jayanti Coffee”. Over the years, the successful business had been increasingly growing together with NKG’s global group structure and finally became “NKG India Coffee” in 2014 – a 100% company of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe and NKG’s main and single green coffee exporter in India.

For our group company, NKG India Coffee , we are looking for a Quality Executive (f/m/d).
The position will be based in Hassan and reports directly to Quality Head.

Your responsibilities

Roasting & Cupping:

  • Perform daily sample roasting as per defined roasting profiles.
  • Conduct cupping sessions for internal evaluation, procurement support, and customer requirements.
  • Record cupping scores, sensory notes, and quality observations with consistency.
  • Maintain cupping lab cleanliness, setup, and calibration of equipment.
  • Support Quality Head in quality protocols and tasting panel coordination.

Customer Sample Preparation & Dispatch:

  • Prepare green coffee and roasted coffee samples as per customer specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy in labelling, traceability, and documentation for every sample sent.
  • Coordinate with logistics/admin team to ensure timely dispatch of samples to domestic and international customers.

Quality Monitoring & Documentation:

  • Assist in quality evaluation of incoming lots.
  • Track quality deviations and escalate concerns to the Quality Head.
  • Update daily roasting logs, cupping forms, and quality-check records.
  • Support digital/ERP-based quality documentation where applicable.

Operational Support:

  • Assist in quality projects including process improvements, standardization, and customer-driven requests.
  • Maintain safe handling of equipment and follow quality and safety guideline

Your Profile

  • Excellent verbal and written in English, Hindi and Kannada
  • Graduate in Food Technology / Agriculture / Coffee Technology / Science OR relevant experience in coffee quality.
  • 1–3 years of experience in roasting, cupping, or quality operations (coffee industry preferred).
  • Strong sensory skills and basic understanding of green coffee attributes.
  • Knowledge of cupping protocols (SCA or company standards).
  • Proficient in maintaining records, sample handling, and equipment operation.
  • Attention to detail and strong sensory discipline.
  • Team player with good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
